Marrow & Myth Solo Exhibition:
In her debut solo exhibition Marrow & Myth, artist Indya Pearce presents a selection of oil paintings created over the past several years, recontextualising ancient mythology in a modern context, both collective and deeply personal. Drawing from diverse cultural narratives, including Norse folklore, the Finnish Kalevala, Ancient Indian Shaktism and Greek mythology, she reframes mythical and religious characters such as Sleipnir, Fenrir, Durga, Kali, Leda, Aino and the Minotaur through a personal and feminine lens. These stories become vehicles for exploring autonomy, anxiety, motherhood, identity, and the cycles of loss and realisation.
The following works use layered imagery, abstracted compositions and bodily iconography to bring together the divine and the abject. Throughout this exhibition, Pearce highlights the enduring relevance of myth as a language for articulating complexity, contradiction, morals and transformation.

Graduate Exhibition Work:
This series investigates discomfort using the Greek mythological narratives of Leda and the Swan and Picasso’s Minotaur. Embedded with inherent power dynamics and non-consensual encounters, I reflect on the complexities of autonomy and body politics. I aim to promote a deeper exploration of psychological and bodily experiences of contemporary womanhood.

TENDER EMBODIMENT EXHIBITION:
In a time where we are often distanced from nature and disconnected from our own bodies, a return to Tender Embodiment is imperative. In lieu of this, the exhibition showcases the work of four emerging artists and their collective explorations of Tender Embodiment. The following works evoke corporeal connections with the earth, water, nostalgia and the body through a painterly, sculptural, photographic and filmic lens.
